Squeeking Noise From KWV3's

I have had my KW's for about three months. I have noticed that when I have been driving for a while, the rear KW's are squeeking. It's an annoying sound...kinda sounds like an old chair....Any ideas what this may be?? I took it to a dealership to get it checked out but they couldn't find the source of the problem.

did you install or did the dealership?

cause I'm pretty sure any dealership will tell you, the squeaking as a result of the install isn't usually covered under warranty unless they installed it. and know if should be better. (an inexperienced dealership wouldn't know how to correct it.

w/ the time involved... if you didn't have them install it, you're pretty much going to be paying pretty close to it for them to fix it had you asked them to install it in the beginning.

something more descriptive than "squeaking" might be needed.

is the noise continuous during certain activity? or is it when you hit the California bumpy roads it's like a bouncing sound?

My understanding for the KWs is that the fit is probably better than any system out there. w/ the dampeners working so well that it can cushion better than stock w/ a softer rebound.

Definitely need more information. We have plenty of KW V3 owners here and no one has had a single problem.

creaking like an old chair? Have you felt any performance differences?

Check the spring cup to see everything is sitting tightly and also check the adjustment rings and see if they're tight. I have a feeling this is actually from your spring cup, but I can't be 100% certain of it unless I see it...

Good luck man!
