Hotchkis Installed but.. rubbing/clunking sound from front?

So,

I got the Hotchkis installed yesterday afternoon from a reputable tuner shop. When I got home I noticed they didnt open the instruction manual, but I figured they prob have enough experience to install sways that they didnt need it.

I have a non-sport G37 and the only suspension mod are the Hotchkis sways

First impressions, cornering greatly improved, definitely night and day... No more rolling, I have it set on the middle setting and ride comfort is still stock just no more body roll =) I've never driven a sport G37 but I bet it's probably pretty close now =)

The problem happen when I went over a speed bump at low speed, I could hear some sort of rubbing/clunking sound from the front, So i figured it's something with the front sways... this only happens when i go at a slow speed over a medium size speed bump I guess enough for the shocks to compress up... If i go faster i dont hear the noise... Also when i corner i don't really hear it. I think if i corner agressive enough to compress the front suspension the sound might be able to be heard...

What's going on is this normal? Did they not lube it up enough or is it rubbing against something or a bad install??

I did a search and found other hotchkis ppl reporting noise and ppl getitng new endlinks n stuff >.<but i have no idea..

If someone could please help ~~

**UPDATE**
It's actually more of a creaking noise.... than rubbing/clunking.. from the front.. Also it was about 6C outside, and 42F

how about, have you check the sway bar end link nuts to see if it's tight? and the mounts? that you have to go under your car and remove the cover to see. you should probably go back to the place you got it installed and have them look at it.

there's only ONE way to install a sway bar....so it's definitely installed correctly...or else it wouldn't fit....it's either not enough grease on the bushings or end links are loose...

thanks,

i'll bring it back asap and get them to look at it, driving with end links loose wont cause any damage would it?

We had problems with the g37 endlinks, even if we torque it to specs via g37 manual, I'f you drive your car hard. Have them re- torque the end links I'm almost sure that's the problem

So I took it back to the shop and asked if they used up both tubes of factory silicone grease and they said they did. I explained to them about the suspension noise and they added more silicone grease to the front bushings and all was good after..

Also I notice while playing around with my new sways, doing a hard right turn into some uneven surface while breaking causes some similar noise i was hearing b4 when my bushings weren't properly lubed.. It's like the front suspension compresses too much and the same noise occurs. Do you guys think it's just the sway bushings making more rubbing noises?

So I did more research on the net, and it seems like the issue is the sway bar end links being loose. The guys who installed my sways didnt have the tool to measure the torque/lbs but they assured me the endlinks are on tight enough.

http://legacygt.com/forums/archive/i...p/t-65851.html

Should this be something to worry about? I mean the clunking sound doesnt come up now until i pull hard cornering and going over small bumps or when turning into driveways.

hm.... the manual says like 40ft/lbs

so if the shop doesnt have the tool that can set the TQ, is it possible it's not on tight enough? maybe i need to bring it to someplace where they can put the exact TQ on the endlink screws... sigh...
