Please post your Powder coated Akebono
I thought about it, but used the instructions online for StopTech brakelines for 350Z, the FSM and online videos I found. Now after I did it (not really too hard), I wish I had done one since I used only pieces of all three. If you use the FSM method, it is more than you need. The 350Z instructions are a little different that G37 so you have to think just a wee bit. My point is that whoever does this next should do a DIY as I think it would be very useful.
danny your brakes are going to look so sick! cant wait to see them on. wicked and mikes look sweet too. happy to see more people doing this as the stock brakes are mean.
again, bump for mike the powdercoater. hes an awesome guy and you can see how good his work is.
he had my brakes off the car, powdercoated and reinstalled in less than 10 hrs with a full bleed and bedding.
like hamster said, the letters are done in spray paint with a stencil of the image i sent him then covered with a clear powdercoat layer.

I've been told that the piston seals in the calipers may not survive the bake after it's been powder coated. Were you guys aware of this risk when you got it done?

So I got the following information from Mike the powdercoater who can be found at http://www.thepowdercoater.com/.
"The caliper seals and boots are designed for upwards of 700 degrees. Powdercoat curing is at 400 degrees. Regardless, I totally disassemble the calipers, clean and inspect all the seals then reassemble."
I know we all like pictures so here are pics of 3 sets that he has in the works. (1) stripped and ready for masking and coating, (2) one awaiting logos and clear coat, (3) finished set ready to ship.

He is working three sets this week from G37s which are the pictures above. First picture belongs to someone that ordered lime green, the second picture is going to be gray metallic with purple flake and obviously the last picture is red, actually it is Crystal Red Metallic with an excessive dose of flash to hide the beauty of the color until it is on someone's car.
