For everyday use it will be fine. Brake calipers do get very hot at track events, he will find out as soon as he's done with a few hot laps!

I've never had problems with the same paint, and i've used them on all my calipers... BBK or not. And yes, i've taken them to the track as well, several times, without issue.

One thing to note, most powdercoaters use powders rated up to (intermittent) 450 degrees. The paint i'm using is rated to 500 and could go to the 1200 rated paints as well.

The main difference between PC and paint is that PC's cures to a hard shell, which is suitable for items that takes a beating externally.

So your painted calipers never started to peel or flake even after a track event?

Not at all. Most i've gotten caliper temps up to was in the 300s. Granted, YMMV and overall temp would depend on the type of course and how crazy you get with braking.

I think that also depends on how well you painted them.

If you do right , I bet last long and no prob bringing to track

Hey everyone. Sounds like Mike has earned quite the reputation here. Just want to let you all know that I own a full-scale powder coating shop here in New York that puts out identical quality product at a better price than Mike. Most of our caliper jobs are turned around in a single day. Two days tops. We have the largest color selection of powder in our area and judging by the pictures I've seen posted, we use the exact same Hot Coat Pro guns that Mike uses. We normally coat complete sets of calipers at $240 for a single stage job, multi-layers are just a little higher at $300. We have a vinyl plotter and full time digital designer to incorporate any custom logo onto your pieces.

We use the highest quality powder and have the latest and greatest technology used in the powder coating industry. We even have a tire mounter and balancer on-site capable of reverse mounting wheels up to 30" in diameter.

I work with several other forums, but personally owning two 2008 Infiniti G's, I would absolultely love to service this community in specific.

Here is a link to the thread showing the muffler from my coupe that I just finished... https://www.myg37.com/forums/intake-...ck-it-out.html

Sounds good. But can you please post pictures of powdercoated brake calipers that you have done on here? By the way, do you have a website where we can check your work out?

If you do a search for "powder coated muffler" you will find photos of a set of calipers that I just completed.

I'd repost them here but I do not have access to my computer this weekend.

Thanks.
