No, they're stock rotors. The slots/dimples/holes don't wear out the pads any faster.

Also do you have to send in your stock rotors as a core exchange or is this a straight purchase?
^ I dont think so, It's just like buying a second set of rotors.

The excess zink will wear off in very quickly, they were done by the time the mechanic came back from the test drive. Yea you buy a second set of rotors. I'd bet you could then send your old ones in to be machined for a spare set or to resale to recoupe some cost.. haven't checked on that though. Click on the top image for a 3mp shot.

Me personally, I think $800 for a set of rotors kinda high, especially when my car has 2100 miles on it, lol. Its ok if the rotors are all worn out and need replacement.

Got a question....comparing my photos to the OP's...it seems as I've installed the rotors to the wrong side....I'm planning on swapping them, but is there a big difference on Right vs. Left rotors? A disc is a disc? please don't bash me!

PIC of LEFT side:

PIC of RIGHT side:

some rotors are directional. some arent.

the difference is the direction of the slots.

i have these rotors on my dads camaro and IIRC when i installed them they were directional, i think they had a serial # on them and one side ended in an R and the other an L.

the slotted veins usually should be facing the front of the car meaning the oposite of the way you have it. the idea is the veins force air through the brakes to cool them

Triple_X lemme know what answers you get. I need to upgrade my brakes next. I just want a little better stopping power. BBK is just too much $$ for me right now.
