Before I get unrelated comments, I'm aware of the window reset procedure!! I've done it several times and am not a complete noob on working on cars and electronics.

A long time ago I ended up with a dead battery and a window that was down. Very strange but I found out that the relay in the main switch went out so I bought another one and in the meantime I charged the battery. After the replacement main window switch came in I replaced it. The stange thing was that the window goes down but not up, also not after a window reset, also not after disconnecting the battery for a while and try again. The passenger side works normal.

Using the workshop manual I did several times a complete check buteverything works as stated. When I put power directly on the motor the window goes up and down but just to be sure I also replaced the motor with the same result.

So I bought another main window switch, same result, bought another one with the EXACT partnumber and not it's replacement, same result. I then bought a chinese clone and this works! But this clone doesn't has the small up and down movement when opening and closing the door, and the light color of the buttons is different so I really want the original switch to work.

I found out the window does roll up with the button when the door is closed, but not whe the door is open, also when I open and close the door several times each time I open it, it rolls down a bit but doesn't roll up when closing it again. So it looks like the position isn't stored or something, also the relay in the main switch doesn't "click".

So today I replaced the memory module and checked all related wiring again but still no luck. So hope someone can help me with this or know things I havent tried yet.

 

Nobody that seen this problem before or know a good hint what the cause can be?
