The Airbag/SRS Thread

Hello all, wanted to make an updated thread where we can discuss/fix SRS related issues. As these cars continue to age the rebuilt market will continue to grow which means more and more airbag related issues.

For blinking lights:

Repeat the following steps 3 or 4 times.
  1. Turn the ignition to ON (not to acc and no need to start the engine)
  2. Wait 7 seconds until the air bag light goes out and immediately turn the ignition off ( You have 1 second to turn it off)
  3. Wait 3 seconds before repeating
Solid lights means the airbag module has detected a crash and needs repair. I came across this https://www.myairbags.com/product/ai...odule-reset-3/ that for $50 + shipping they would repair your unit.
They offer all of SRS related repairs https://www.myairbags.com/search/?ma...=G37&year=2011 which in comparison to replacement costs it's definitely more affordable.

Feel free to comment on any findings, tips and tricks others could benefit from as dealer trips can be a waste often demotivating you from moving forward.
Thanks in advance.
