Headlight, off, not burnt out
Headlight, off, not burnt out
Hey guys. Long time lurker here but I don’t post much.
My my passenger side headlight I thought was burnt out. Bought one at O’R, $100, and proceeded to change it out. Bottom line is that the original is not burnt out.
I have not done a search yet on this site as I am running out the door. If any one can please give me ideas, I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks
David

You should probably start off by checking your fuses. If its blown fuse you might be able to get away with just swapping it, but there's a good chance there's another problem that made the fuse blow. If your fuses look good, grab a multimeter, unplug the bulb and check if it gets voltage with the headlights on.

more than likely the high voltage ballast is burnt out. i would check the wiring connections first, if the wiring is good then you would need to replace that ballast. i don't believe the ballast is sold individually so you may need to replace the entire headlamp.
