2010 Front Driver side and rear Passenger side locks not working

Hello,

New to the forum... Bought a mint 2010 G37x about six months ago. It did have 92K miles on it but was in great shape and had all scheduled service done at the dealer. It is a cool "rocket" car - even though my family says I drive like an old man.

I searched the site and it seems the issue is probably and door/lock actuator.

My slant on it is that both the front driver side and the rear passenger seems to died at the same time.

What I did/observed:

- Confirmed that there is no noise/clicking on either door.
- New battery in fob.
- Driver door locks/unlocks with manual key.
- Checked child safety on the rear door.
- FOB opens/locks other doors as does the inside panel button.
- Driver side Window is sluggish sometimes

Someone mentioned that the car battery might be failing although the car starts real strong.

Appreciate any help and apologies if I missed a thread on this.

Did you ever test the battery, the cables, check for corrosion/loose battery clamps/post, and how old is it?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did not test the battery. It just happened today. The battery looks brand new and no corrosion - as does the entire engine compartment. You could eat off of it. Not sure of the age.

The idea of the battery being the culprit seemed far fetched to me - but what do I know... Is it plausible that everything else could be working fine and battery be bad? Is there a fuse(s) that could be take out just 1 - or in my case 2 locks?

Again, appreciate the help.

+1 on checking the battery. Maybe hook up a charger?

Will do. Raining in Louisville and I have 56 Chris Craft boat and a 67 Lincoln convertible in various states of restoration in the garage. Yes - wife hates me. Need to finish one of these before they bury me in either.

Will charge when the rain lets up and reply.

Thanks.

WOW!! You guys are great!!

I drove the car this AM and the locks all kicked in when I got to that certain speed. I pulled over and everything is working - Button inside, button on handle, fob.

What I did:

- Yesterday (thinking about the battery) I shut off the steering wheel automatically lift/lower when you get in/out. Also dimmed some screen setting. Not sure if any of that made a difference.

- Last night (after you all told me to check the battery) I grabbed the + and - connections and made sure they were snug. Although they all seemed tight and no corrosion, this looks to me was the fix - battery connection.

Still going to test the battery and will report back.

THANK YOU!!!!!!
