Cabin heat during daily highway driving
So after my first week as a G owner I've noticed a slight shimmy in the steering wheel at highway speed. But I'm wondering heat in the car is normal it's like having the heat on and on the foot setting???

i have heat that bleeds out the footwell vents unless the AC is on cold.
i measured with a thermometer, and i think the footwell air was 15-20 degrees warmer than the top vents with just fresh air selected and no AC.
told dealer about it when it was there for something else. i figured the "air direction flaps" weren't sealing right, or needed calibrated or something. their response: "tested another vehicle, same result, normal operation".
one of the main things i HATE about this car.

The inner workings of your dash get extremely hot, mainly because there is a heater core in there (you may want to be sure the heater valve is shutting off fully when not in heat demand) and just because it is damn hot in a car. You gotta turn on the AC just to cool off the inner workings of the dash. Once you get the dash cooled off, turn off the AC and see if the heat goes away.
Every car I've ever been in will have hot air leaking out of the dash in hot weather if the AC isn't on. Pretty normal.

Maybe a revision was done to newer cars?
My opinion, it may be the heater core valve, if the G37 has one. My Titan has this valve, it is an electric valve that shuts off coolant flow to heater core when system is in full-cool (blue zone on temp mix, doesn't matter if AC is on) and has been known to go bad on higher mileage Titans. And it's a PITA to replace because the valve is bonded to the hose assembly, the entire thing has to be replaced. I wonder if this is a similar issue in older G's?

Ah, I see. This doesn't occur in my 2014 coupe. I drive often in mid-70's weather with the HVAC completely off, I don't have any hot air leaking out from the lower vents.
