Trunk won't open

Hi there. I'm having an issue with my trunk. It won't open. I've tried using the button in the car as well as the button on the outside. The car beeps but the trunk won't release.
Any suggestions before I drive it to the dealership?

09 g37x coupe.

Thanks for the help.

Did you by chance switch it off? There is an on/off switch in the glove box

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I checked the switch in the glove box. Car doesn' beep at me when it' switched to lock. Wish it was that easy. I have some stuff in there I need today. Hopefully I can get in through the back seat.

Door open or closed when you try it? If open make sure the door's closed.

I attached a ziptie to the emergency release years ago when I got the car. I'm 6' tall and have relatively standard length arms for my height yet it's still nearly impossible to reach the pull through the slot. The ziptie makes it much easier.

Hey there. My back seats fold right down. Climbed right through to open the trunk earlier today. Need to figure out what' going on with the buttons. Wondering if the key fob is the culprit.

Sorry, missed the coupe part. Maybe fob battery issue?

Bought a new battery for the key fob. Didn' help. Thinking 5he lock actuator itself must be knackered.

I agree with KDS. After you check all the fuses, perform the test procedure in the service manual for the trunk latch release actuator.
