Hood won't open
Hood won't open
The lever works. The hood pops up slightly, then it sounds like something is stopping it from coming up all the way. It sound like something is blocking it from coming up all the way. When I try to pull the hood up, there is a knocking noise coming front the middle front. Both the passenger and driver side open fine. Anyone know how to fix this?

Wait, which lever works? The one inside the car, or the latch? Are you aware of the hatch that keeps the hood from opening? Every car has this latch, so I assume you know about it. Maybe I shouldn't assume...
Okay so I sort of fixed it. I had to slip my fingers under the hood and push that little lever up. I remember when I first got my car and popped the hood I didn't have to do this. It just came up if i pulled the lever inside the car. I wasn't aware that after the hood pops open slightly, you can't open it all the way until you push the little lever under the front of the hood up.

I'm not aware of a modern car which doesn't have this feature.

Take a chill pill. He wasn't being snide. I had the same thought. Your first car was either very old or had a mal-functioning hood safety latch. I've been fooling with cars for 40 yers and safety latches have been around quite some time.
. Everyones gotta start somewhere. Congrats on the new car and im sure you'll learn more then you need on this forum, if your willing.
