Exclamation Passenger window leak

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum but I've been following for a long time. I'm having a problem with a window leak on the passenger side window on my 2008 G37. Water drains onto the tweeter and to the mid speakers. I've read several other threads about the problem so I've done my research and believe my situation may be unique. Tried a window reset already and it appears to be sealing correctly along with the weather strip appearing to be intact. Problem persisted so I took it to the dealership for them to check it out. A $135 diagnostic fee and 2 hours of my life later I was given a $1200 quote to fix it. They told me it wasn't the weather strip or the angle of the window but the clips on the trim piece above the window would have to replaced along with the gasket. $600 for the trim piece, $200 for the gasket and $400 in labor. Seems a bit excessive to me and I've held off doing it. Anyone ever heard of anything like this or do you think I'm being taken for a ride? Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

You might try to get a second quote, this time from a Nissan dealer.

I had the same problem and thanks only to dealer goodwill did I manage to avoid paying $1200. The window seal is a terrible design in an otherwise well thought-out car.

Yeah, there's not too much goodwill going around at my dealership. Anyone know the part number or where I could find it? And maybe a website with cheap body parts?

Sorry for the double post but is this the right part and part number? 76836-JL05A. For whatever reason in this picture it refers to it 72812m
