Hey guys I want to remove this piece and place either foam or sound deadener inside. This is the only thing that rattles when my subwoofer is thumping. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe you could offer some suggestions on where to strategically place the sound deadener...

How do you safely remove it and put it back? I would appreciate some advice before I break something.

Recommend removing the entire headliner. Ref FSM INT pg 23.

Thank you for the detailed information. That seems way too involved for my liking. I guess i'll have to just listen to the rattle every now and then

 

Did you not add some dynomat in the trunk when you added sub

 

Of course I did... thats not what is rattling. The thing circled in the picture is where the rattle is coming from, hence the post lol.

 

I can't tell from the pic but do you have a sunroof? Could try to work something from the sunroof area towards the rattle location.

 

On mine it's the actual sunglasses holder that rattles occasionally.
