i have the oem spoiler. Two of the LEDs on the brake light are out. I do not just wanna unplug the brake light. What's the part number for the replacement? Is it worth fixing, in out of warranty. 2012 g37.
Unless I'm missing something... neither the OEM chrome plinth nor the OEM decklid spoiler accessory have any LEDs. The CHMSL is in the back window...
I'm guessing he has the 07-08 trunk spoiler, which does have the integrated brake light. It might be a third party/non-OEM replica, which tend to burn out. OEMs don't usually burn out.
Yeah, i thought that too but... if he retrofitted an 07-08 spec spoiler onto a 2012... although it's technically OEM... we can't determine that based on the info he provided.
If it is OEM... he can google "OEM Infiniti parts" and look it up on any number of sites.
Otherwise, with the lack of detail, there's only so much we can do.

yes I have that spoiler and I'm sure 2010+ had them as well (I've seen many with this OEM spoiler). I cant remove it, there is gonna be holes and different shade of paint.
They call all it the light assembly, cost about 400 CAD just for the brake light. That's pretty steep for lights you can only see when you brake.
The other thing to do is disassemble your wing and try to repair the LED strip yourself. I have no idea how to do that or if it's even possible, but it was assembled somehow so you would think it could be disassembled...
The center brake light (rear deck) on our '06 partially failed because the electrical connections were just mechanically crimped instead of soldered. Ease of assembly I suppose. But that made the lamp susceptible to vibration and corrosion over time and this could be your situation. it is irritating!
I just installed deck lid spoiler for the 2013 sedan, Interestingly enough when I was removing the trim cover for the truck and the back up camera harness for some reason the harness had an empty port that was pigtailed off that. I know that the 3rd brake light is not located on the spoilers for this model but I wonder if its the same harness for the 2008 as mentioned above.
