if you look at most aftermarket solutions, rails and brackets can be bought separately and put together. most definitely about the safety, there is a local shop that does great work and i can have them cut and tig weld the bracket if needed. i dont want to remove the oem tab off in case i go back to stock.
i'm really hoping planted seat brackets have a solution.
That is the same response I got from Planted when I contacted them about seat rails for the sedan a few years ago. Looks like no one stopped by their shop yet with a G37 sedan.
i found something interesting. this youtube video states that the infiniti Q60 brackets fit the G37 coupe. what are the odds that the Q50 ones would fit the G37 sedan?

So I got another tidbit of info. Someone said that the g35 brackets fit the g37.
looking at planted’s application it shows the same bracket for the coupe and sedan. It also shows the bracket is up to 2008. I’ve got some in my amazon cart has anyone heard of someone trying the g35 brackets with the 37?
I have a 2008 G35 sedan (V36 chassis; same as the G37 sedan) and I can definitely confirm that the G35 (V35 chassis) brackets DO NOT fit the G37 sedan (V36 chassis). Unless you are talking about the 2007-2008 G35 Sedan brackets, then yes, those are the same as the G37 sedan since they are both the same V36 chassis. I can also confirm that neither the G37 coupe, nor the 370Z brackets will work in our cars (without completely modifying them with new mounting brackets). Like 4DRZ, I researched this issue for several months and and the only brackets I could find that fit the V36 sedan (without modifications) are the ones made by Bride. You should be able to find these for under $200, so why not just order the ones from Bride and use what you know will work?

It's worth a shot. Does anyone make brackets for the Q50 and not the G37? If so, that makes me think they are different.
One of my buddies tried installing a Q50 (V37 chassis) drivers seat in his G37 sedan (V36 chassis) and the mounting points did not match up. So if the OEM seats don't have the same mounting points then I highly doubt the aftermarket seat brackets/rails would be interchangeable.

the bottom of the 370z nismo isn’t flat like a aftermarket seat. Although I believe the Juke Nismo is the original Recaro bottom. So because it’s like a regular factory seat the easiest thing would be just using a bracket instead of trying to attach aftermarket sliders like the brides.
Hey Guys! This is a awesome thread! Thanks for starting this 4DRZ. I have read through this thread a few times now... There's a ton of great information. Question for you all with your racing seats installed, using OEM seat belts. It occurred to me yesterday that OEM seat belts are bolted to the stock seats... How are you attaching them to your aftermarket seats/rails? I'll be starting my project in a few weeks. If all goes well, everyone that has a G37 Sedan will have a alternative to Bride rails and more seat options (stay tuned for that)

I'm curious to see what you have planned. The Bride seat rails include their own mounting point and hardware to transfer over the oem seat belt clip. I am not sure how common that is among aftermarket seat companies, but I would guess that it is pretty rare.
So how is that Bride resistor working out for you 4DRZ? You got a link for those?
Did you need a weight sensor for the passenger side?
I don't have a Bride resistor- just a generic one with the same specs. There is a company that makes a plug-in for the weight sensor that you will see earlier in this thread. Both items are still working fine. However, if you get the plug-in for the weight sensor you will either need to have the passenger seat belt buckled or get a clip to insert when someone it not in the seat, otherwise the seat belt light will be on.

Or you can always find a scrap passenger lower seat assembly and cannibalize it for the weight sensor, then you can install that in your new passenger's seat. That's what I did and it now functions just like the sensor would in the OEM seat.
it took me a while but I got a guy to take his G37 sedan over to Planted Technologies and get the mounting points measured. It cost me $100 to pay him for his time but that would be cheaper than having to modify one.
Butt if you want to chip in I can send you my PayPal. Lol.
my Nismos is getting cleaned up and will have the brackets in two weeks
