I had them, I actually still have a few sets of bulbs at the house. But I ran into an issue that the passenger side HID wouldn't come on unless a flipped it on and off like 5 times? This was after I had the headlamp replaced. Other than that I really liked their bulbs!

Yep that's the issue I had and these were the sets I bought about a year and half I go I believe so if the flicker issue was fixed sometime after that than DD all the way! Like I said our headlights are so picky and not everyone had to deal with this problem.
Did you see the price points on them? Willing to shell out 100+ on Philips? If money is not a issue more power to ya.
There's a reason why our cars come equipped with brands such as Philips and Osram HID bulbs. These are the benchmark and they hold the bar in terms of quality. Yes the price points on them are high but I'm quite sure you'll be getting what you're paying for. I'm in no way dismissing other brands that sell HID bulbs, I'm sure they are good but in my experience after having different brand bulbs, in the end the quality and output of Philips and Osram has always been superior to me.
If functionality isn't an issue and you're going strictly for aesthetics, then yes get 6000K. But if you want the best of both worlds (performance and aesthetics) then stay around the 4300k - 5000K and optimize your stock projector to get the maximum output out of your projector, install a clear lens if you want to really dive deep in to your headlight.

Point well taken. I had my 37 coupe for 8.5 years. Went through about 3 HID bulbs first set being the philips ultinon. They do last longer but not by much. Not worth the big price tag. 2nd set was from a JDM company (8k bulb) which lasted 1.5 years. 3rd set from DD lasted 2 year and probably still working after I sold my car.
What do you guys think? Would a "City Light" at 8k be ricing it?
My city lights are red. Get the 2nd tier which is not too bright and perfect output since tbh it's just for looks. 8K isn't going to look ricey IMO, if you do it all 6K than the whole thing just looks 6K and there's no point and way to say oh this is fog and city and headlights it's just fused.
Did Diode Dynamics fix the issue of the hid bulbs? I emailed them a few months ago asking about the bulbs and they said not to get it. I wanted to get bulbs to match my xml2 5000k fogs but I'm hoping DD did fix the issue so I can get hid bulbs to match my fogs!

Not a clue since that was a point of my concern. However, based on what everyone is saying, it appears that they have fixed the issue. I am hoping more people would chime in on this. Hopefully....
DD actually posted in another thread that their new models have fixed the flickering issue but haven't seen any members that have had the problem get the new models and tested them out themselves. I'm about to get the 8000K model and test it for me and Kenny to see if it's too blue or actually warms up to more of what the 6000K and 7000K should be considering the 6000k and 6500K respectively gets too warm to the range of 5000-5500K. I'm probably ordering a set before this July 4th sale ends.
