Has your g37 navigation or electronics ever had any issues?
Has your g37 navigation or electronics ever had any issues?
I recently purchased a CPO 2013 g37 with 15,000 miles on it. I'm covered under warranty from my CPO until 75,000 miles. Inifiniti is offering me the "wrap" warranty which covers additional items in the car that the CPO doesnt covers such as all electrical and electronics (basically navigation - which can be expensive). This wrap also extends the warranty as well, and the price for this is $1,600.
Now my question is, has anyone out there had any problems with electrical components in the G? If so how long into owning the car did you run into these problems? I own the last year the G was made, and hopefully they have worked out all kinks with electrical problems happening from previous models. I guess in the end, I'm a little undecided on if i should purchase this extended warranty or not? I have a while left before my CPO warranty is up, and was thinking i can just decide as i get closer to that.
Does anyone have any opinions?

~22K on my MY'12 car. I had an issue with the nav continuously rebooting few months back while an active route was in session and mp3 (from flash drive) playing. Never happened before. Killing active route stopped this behavior. I don't normally use the gps to actually route, it's just there showing me where i'm at. Maybe the unit was overloaded due to all the recalculating. This issue did not appear again after restarting the car.

Yes i have the navigation option. So you're saying is i should be able to play music through my phone without having it plugged in? If so can you give me some info on what i'm doing wrong with this?

Thanks man!
Been a while but I believe you have to pair it twice, one as a phone & one as a music device. Look in the manual or download one.
You've got better nav capabilities on your cell phone. The in-car does not update for traffic, construction, road closures, objects in the road, or let you know where cops are. Waze does all of these. Waze admittedly does not do as well for navigating in cities, so I only use it for the other stuff when I know where I need to go. If I don't know where to go, I use google maps. Both are better than any nav that gets maps updated every year or so.
