Why use your headlights on all the time? Especially in clear weather in the daytime, each their own tho.

Same concept as why DRLs are used, for increased visibility towards oncoming traffic and traffic in front of you (for when someone is switching lanes and needs to see if there's a car behind). It's the reason why some highway roads with passing zones require you to turn on your main beam headlights even in the daytime so that you can see oncoming traffic more easily before passing.

Personally I wouldn't use my headlights all the time because that would significantly reduce the life of the bulbs. If you really wanted to, just mock up a DRL mod.

I would use drl and have no problem with it but not my headlights all the time, well right now I use halos and in ACC Mode so just the halos turn on without the headlights, I wish my dogs would be on without having my headlights on I know I can have them rewired to do so maybe soon I will.

Because it increases viability.

I ran my HID's any time the car was on on my GTI for 3 years straight with no problems. Never burned a bulb out.

My G I've done the same. If they bulbs burn out I can get them replaced for cheap.

I live in AZ where it's usually always bright and sunny, but when it's stormy and gloomy definitely don't mind turning them on lol

Never used auto climate control ever. But that's besides the point.

All I'm saying is, seems like it would be a lot easier and make a lot more sense to simply turn your lights on then go messing with the electronics in exploratory surgery.

That's one possibility. Same goes for speeding tickets.

I only use my headlights when needed, and my sperm's fine.

You've never used auto climate?? What a joke, any house in the last like 50 years came standard with it, sucks to be you, building fires every night and opening all your windows in the summer. LMAO jkjk... Anyway, just saying, we find ways to make things easier, if we didn't, we'd still be in walking across the country with sticks and stones as tools. A little bit of effort far outweighs turning them on every single time.

It's been some 40 years since I looked at Texas' driver's handbook. I don't remember a requirement to turn on headlights with wipers. Guess I better take another look...

I go by visibility but generally turn them on when it's raining because all the other drivers on the road are morons or using mental cruise control or cell phones. My white car is pretty easy to see...

For a second I thought you were being serious and my jimmies were getting seriously rustled

Yeah I don't know, I never felt the need to use the auto control in my cars. Hey, if OP wants to go that route good for him. I hope it works out and he even posts a write-up in case someone else wants to make that change.

Haha totally playing bromosexual.. Yeah, same here the auto setting, IMO, turns on too late in the evenings anyway. I pretty much don't trust any other driver besides myself so they're practically always on.
