G37 convertible exhaust install question!

Hi guys, I just bought a Borla exhaust for an 09 G37 Convertible only to find out that the verts have an extra "V" brace on them right where the exhaust needs to go. I was curious to know if it was safe to remove this brace, if there was an aftermarket brace that would allow me to remove stock one to allow for the new exhaust or if none of the above, which companies if any, make an aftermarket exhaust FOR a vert.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Was the borla exhaust that you bought meant for a convertible? Do you have a link of where you bought it from that may also help. I can't say I understand your pain but I can only imagine ordering and exhaust in finding out it does not fit properly on my car. I hope you can get this all solved and figured out

I had the same issue with my Takeda and had to get the exhaust bent to fit...here is the link to what I did... https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...g37s-vert.html
On a side note...at least you will be the only one that has that exhaust on a vert! Loved my Takeda once I got over the bummer of it not fitting off the bat.

DO you have any issues with stability or noise due to cutting off the drive side of support bar ..??

I recently asked the same question to multiple manufacturers the only one to respond to have an exhaust that will fit the G37 'vert was Stillen. According to them model #504402 will fit the convertible - 2008-2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe / 2014-2015 Infiniti Q60 Stainless Cat-Back Exhaust System - Dual Wall Tips. I would like to know if anyone can confirm there are truly no modifications.

if they advertise Stillen fits convertible, you can always return it if it doesn't fit.

But from the design of the Stillen, it appears it'd fit w/no issues.
