Dealership put swirls in paint (black)
I remember way back in the day when I owned my 03 G35 coupe that i babied and took extra good care esp my paint as it was obsidian black. Due to my lack of knowledge at the time I took it to the dealership to get my rotors changed and also paid for a full detail, i figured why noy im here anyways. When I picked up my car it was dark outside so I couldn't really notive anything wrong but the very next morning I was shocked at the amount of the swirls in my paint. It was absolutely ridiculous and they did the worst buff job I have ever seen in my entire life, I honestly wish I had pictures of it to show you guys. Long story short they did nothing except offer me another free detail which I threw back in their face from how angry I was. You would think a dealership would be more knowledgeable and careful when it comes to detailing the outside of a car.
lesson learned I do all my details myself now swirl free is the way to be! Best of luck man I doubt they'll do anything though

. I used a dual action buffer so I couldn't of made anymore but man did they do a terrible job, it looked like a 10 year old cleaned it.
Lol loving the sign, think I'm going to make one so I don't go through this again. It just amazes me how a luxury car dealership can't even wash a car decently.
Is this your car?

Lol, kidding. Saw this on a detailing forum and reminded me of here. Don't remember exactly, but I think he paid a few hundred for this custom zebra stripe work of art. Ended up having to pay a couple hundred more for a real detailer to fix it.

I too, tell them not to ever wash the car. Because dealing with the aftermath isn't worth it, I can do it myself safely in 20 mins.

I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen to my black M35x. I never use the dealership, but because I had an electrical issue I had the car serviced at Infiniti. I completely forgot to tell them not to wash the car and when I picked it looked up I didn't even think it was my car. It looked like they used sand paper to wash it. Lesson learned...
1st don;t bring car to dealer unless you have in choice. No wash sign is a great idea. For your issue I don;t think the dealer will do anything but calling and asking can't hurt either just be professional and polite and make a reasonable request (free oil change and tire rotation next time in or something like that). Bring it back to your detailer for correction or do it yourself if you have the tools, products and experience. I'm glad to help you if you need some detailing direction.
On the phone, I insist they add it as a note to the service request. Then I follow-up when I arrive. Usually when they see my car, they understand.
It's a hard lesson learned, OP. But you can polish those swirls out, and everything will be OK.
A "do not wash" sign?
That's actually rather brilliant. I don't know if I would actually laminate it, LOL. Still... well done, ATG37.
