Hey guys, I am getting ready to install a car pc in my 2008 G37 coupe and wanted to get suggestions on where to install the pc? Its a ASUS VivoPC about 7"x7"x2.5" in size. I have a small power supply dc-dc to power that and a 7" touchscreen display that I am replacing the stock display with. The easiest place would probably be somewhere in the trunk but I want it to be accessible in case I have to manually reboot or just need quicker access.

 

Behind the factory "screen" there is quite a bit of room.

The 7" will probably fit without to much trouble. You may have to use a dremel to trim the air conditioning vents but its pretty easy.

I would use the glove box for anything else.

 

There is room behind the factory screen for that big of a pc? Wow, I will have to look behind there I guess. I have the Bose with factory Nav if that makes a difference. Ive also wondered how large of a screen I might be able to fit with some modifications to the bezel. I would love a 10" screen but not sure if its possible without getting into the vents.
