If you look up "Diode Dynamics tail-as-turn" you will find a lot of threads about it. This is not new.

yup, easy to install. Have it on my car and I love it! You can PM one whoever works with diode dynamics here on the forums for free shipping on it too.

It's out of stock at the moment, but our production team should have more ready to go next week or so.

Don't forget to send us a PM for free-shipping or give us a call if you have any questions: (314) 205-3033

So does the incandescent bulb and base coming off the harness stay screwed into the tail light housing or get permanently removed from the attachment hole. Best I can tell, I cannot see the bulb as the LED's flash in the video, in which case I'd worry that the entire housing would be more prone to condensate than if it remained sealed with the incandescent bulb and just not ignite.

You dont touch the bulbs. You open the trunk, unplug your taillight harness, and plug this in series. The previous turn signal bulb no longer receives power as it is diverted to the LEDs
