Repairing Cuts in the Dashboad
Repairing Cuts in the Dashboad
Hello Everyone,
I have a question for anyone knowledgeable in repairing their dashboard. I have a few deep cuts needing repair. I was looking to either:
1. Replace the entire dashboard. (very $$$ and don't know if the airbags need to be changed)
2. Use a vinyl wrap over the cuts. (less $$$, not too much info)
3. Currently used a $5 vinyl repair kit but it didn't turn out very good.
Any recommendations?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Any luck on this? I have an 11 sedan and was messing around with ideas on where to mount a cell phone holder....long story, but I ended up inserting the holding piece(thin metal) right above the nav display , there is a fine gap that I was planning to use, I ended up pilling out a 1/4 piece thatjust fell out, no force used etc , it just came out, so hoping for some solutions as well other that replacement.
I have a MINT black dash - from my part out thread. If you are interested - shipping is $$$ but I will sell for cheap. Only main part left in the interior that I have yet to remove...
I will include the pass. side airbag, but it is not needed. It sits close to the dash, and basically pops through the location.
