I installed Philips DRL Daylight 5 led lights.

Now my question is should i take out my city lights which were already my DRLs (Canadian car) and just let leds light up during the day

OR

Should i get white leds for city lights so City lights AND Philips led would be on during the day and at night HID , dimmed city white light and Philips led would be on...

Opinions ??

Thank you. The only thing with that is when headlights are i will lose the second bulb beside it. so the city lights will never come on.

I may replace them with white leds but i still couldn't make up my mind

Another thing i wonder is if i would ge a ticket for having two drls

 

I don't know Canadian laws but here in the States, you're OK driving with headlights and fogs or LEDs on.

These are the DRL 5s. Yes Philips northamerica doesn't carry these but they are available in europe. However these are made for european cars which don't have any DRL.

Originally this is designed to be ON when european car engine starts and as soon as parking lights came on they are suppose to be off.

When it comes to our cars, since i already have drl on as soon as the engine stops the light never comes on. There is a specific wire for sensing the lights and turinign of the LEDs, I just did not connect that wire and i just connected the two wires going to the battery and now these are on ALL the time.

I got this installed to faux vents by a local shop. they cut the vents and flush mounted the lights there. it almost looks like the car came that way.

One could purchase the LED 8s since they are almost the same size as 5s and they are made for northamerican cars so they are on as soon as the engine starts and they DIM when the headlights came on.
