sometimes when I close my driver side window, it goes all the way up, but then instantly it comes back down and stops half way. it will do this until I hold the window button up until the window reaches the closed position and then it stays. I smoke so my window is down often, but this happens 1 out of 10 or 15 times. I couldn't replicate the problem when I brought it to the dealer and the ECU wasn't throwing any codes so they couldn't address the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be or how to fix it?

He has the safety window release problem, where it detects something in the way of the window when putting it up. When that happens it automatically goes back down half way.. I have the same problem on my drivers side but infiniti fixed it for me.

The only way to fix it is to readjust the door or window. Any dealer will do this especially if its under warranty.

 

Absolutley right, had the same problem and ended up having the dealership adjust the window. When I first brought it up they did the window reset luckily it replicated the problem as I was leaving the dealership.
