Hi,
I have a 2011 coupe and I am trying to figure out if the xenon lights are self leveling or not? I do not have the adaptive lights, which I think was part of the premium or technology package at that time. When reading the FSM for the external lights it seems like the height sensor used for xenon self leveling is connected through the AFS controller.

Anyone knows if the self leveling function is only there for cars with adaptive lights. Or is the AFS controller perhaps there on all cars but only do self leveling and not the automatic left/right turning of the xenons on the ones without the "AFS option"?

Anyone happens to know? Really need to know as I am shipping the car to Europe where you legally have to have self leveling functions for any car with xenon lights :/

 

The lights are not self leveling, iirc. They require manual adjustment.
