How bad is this wrinkle for used car?
Friend of mine has an '09 vert, every time he sits in my '10 coupe S, he gets jealous of my HD Nav screen, my USB port, and my Bluetooth audio (biggest thing for him). If it were me, I'd get the '10, but if those things I mentioned don't matter to you, get the '09 and put the 1500 left over towards mods. If you (or your parents, you mentioned that it's your first car) are financing and are getting around the same interest rate on both cars, you might as well get the 2010 IMO.
For what he said ^^
I don't have Bluetooth but you can get a adapter and create one, far as USB ports you can use any charger, and the Nav HD screen I can't comment how much better it is, but if the 2010 is only $500-1000 more I would pay it, if it's more than that, than u can get a $50 Bluetooth adapter, a $10 USB car charger, and unless you watching movies on your navigation I don't see the need for HD, but it all depends on the price difference
Also my 2008 G37S obviously not vert has RCA plugs which lets me play movies on my nav screen I believe that feature was taken out in newer models

I am not sure if I am too much worried about HD nav screen but bluetooth audio is certainly plus. But if I can get an adapter for that, I am okay with that. USB adapter also works fine for me.
Don't worry about it. Be patient man. If you rush into things you'll end up getting what you didn't want so you won't be 100% satisfied thus you'll regret it. If you know what you want stick with it and keep searching. It'll come up. Autotrader, cars.com, craigslist, newspaper, even private classified forum on here. If you find something perfect even from out of the state you could fly there and pick up the car or fly there look at the car and have it shipped back.
Hey Gshockneo, you seem like a nice fellow. Would you like to buy my car? I might consider selling it. It's a 2012 G37S Sedan 6mt with a lot of upgrades and about 14,500 miles on it. Let me know if you're interested, ill sell it to you for whatever my payoff is (dont know what it is but it should be around 34k) without additional charge for upgrades. You can have them all for free.

Quick update on my car search -
After missing out on 2 car deals because of couple of reasons (one was damaged, other got sold), I found one option.
It's 2010 Nav, Sports G37 vert with 33k miles. It is CPO and carries CPO warranty (additional 2 years/100k miles) on it. Price being offered is $33,500. Without additional CPO warranty, cost is $32,700.
Also it is out of state and 800 miles from here. But I still want to fly out there and take a loot at car myself. So that travel would cost around $500 and additional shipping cost (I can't drive it back that long).
How does that deal sound? It seems little expensive to me. I would have liked $32,000 with CPO.
How much should I offer? Any suggestions?

So after some negotiation - I am settling for $33k with CPO warranty.
I had one quick question on external mechanic inspection. I had read that external inspection is always recommended for used cars (That's how I found out one car I was going for had damage) but this is a CPO car. Would it still be wise to go for inspection?

Haha tires look fine man. The car is 3+ years old. If those are original tires the car must have been barely driven or driven easily. But then again that could be its 4th set of tires and the pervious owner floored the car everywhere. No way of knowing.
^ Lmaoooo yup but chances are that if the owner floored the sh¡t out of the car everywhere he went, he likely wouldnt keep buying new sets of Bridgestone Potenza RE050A because those tires are stupid expensive for what they are and not worth it whatsoever. So altough it is possible it could be his 4th or 5th set, it is more likely that it is his original set and he has been taking good care of the car.
Update on car -
I found out that CPO is actually dealer certified not manufacturer certified.
I had earlier agreed on $33,000 for 2010 G37 convertible (sports package 7 speed Automatic + manual shift and Navigation package) thinking it was Infiniti certified car. But now I am not so sure. I was also skipping external inspection but now I would certainly need to get that taken care of.
Any suggestions guys?
