IPL front bumper/Automatic lights Problem
I drive a 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe. I recently purchased and installed a IPL front bumper on it. Once i did so I realized that my lights wont turn off once set on auto. No matter morning or night they stay on unless i turn them off manually. This is fine but i rather them respond the way they are supposed to. I think the bumper is just covering the light sensor but I'm not sure. Anybody have any input on this problem? Please let me know.

I have this issue, but mine is an actual IPL, my battery died today because I forgot to turn them to the off position. It only does it sometimes though, not sure what that issue is, still looking.

The problem seems to be your IPL front bumper. I have a solution: swap my 08 Sport front bumper for your IPL front. Problem solved .
Seriously though, this is weird. Hopefully someone with an IPL conversion (that isn't having this issue) will pop in and compare install notes with you guys.

Does your interior light come on when you open your door if not thats your problem the headlight timer starts when the door is opened and if your door is open and the interior light does not come on the light system does not know that you opened the door and does not start the timer to shut the lights off at your preset time limit.

I also just put on the front Aero... though my G is a 12... no issues with the lights...
You didnt hit any of the wire harness under it right... My suggestion is take it back off make sure no stray or detached wires are found and put it back on... I had someone else help on the install just for seeing the wires ... but all tucked in and snapped closed and done... no issues ...
Good luck...
