V-LED Switchback 5k turn signal bulb

I just got my long awaited amber/5k white switchback turn signal bulbs from VLEDs. I installed them (every which way you can possibly plug in a stupid bulb) and they don't blink or switchback when the turn signal is activated! I have 6k LED's on there already (from Ijdmtoy), but wanted the switchbacks.

Anyone else have this issue??? Everyone on the forum was raving about VLEDs so I'm wondering what the deal is....

I know you need a resistor for the blinking bulbs.

Give VLED a call. Their customer service is excellent. I'm sure they can help you

I wonder if the resistor is needed bc it's a switchback?? I don't use one now on the LED bulb i have in there and it works fine...

Sucks when you've waited 4 weeks for the order to get to you...

The resistor I believe is for hyperblinking. Idk about the switchback.

Seriously....call them. They will help you. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with their customer support while he helped me get the correct bulbs for my G.

They WILL help you.

Correct. The resistor is only for hyperblink. I got the JDM ones, they initially work when plugged in, just hyperblinked. After splicing the resistor, hyperblink is gone. No other issues so far.

I have the 5000k Switchback LEDs from V-LED and seems to be working correctly.
I didn't install them myself, so I can't give you any direction on how they need to be wired.

2011 sedan.. I thought load resistors were only for hyperflash, but according to vled "On some cars we have found if there is no load on a circuit the
system will not flash at all.
You might try installing a load resistor to the circuit and see if
the extra load helps the circuit flash."

I ordered them so we'll see.. Just can't get them to blink amber the way they were intended..

I have a MY11 sedan also, and I have vled switchbacks (v3 triton). Not sure if its the same one you have. I've also used their earlier switchbacks without any problems. Maybe a problem with the bulbs?

Did you use load resistors?

Yes I did. I have them wired to my tail lights because I have LEDs all around.

ALRIGHT, quick update for those that care or may have this issue in the future...

installed the load resistors and it eliminated the hyperflash. With respect to the bulb only showing the white and not switching to amber when the blinker is activated - fixed...you HAVE to make sure that the bulb is pushed all the way in. I know, sounds obvious. But the bulb will light up to white even if it is not all the way in to the socket, yet won't switch to the amber if it is not secured fully. I simply took some electrical tape, pushed the bulb all the way in, and wrapped the tape to secure it in place...

CASE CLOSED...thanks for all the replies, G community...
