I just googled the part number... it shows up as M door sills. are they interchangeable between M and G?

I do, you're right. I admit that freely, and I'm jealous. But I'm not going to do it, and it's difficult to explain why.

Begone, Satan Newt!

I like it too, and I'm jealous also. But I'm not going to do it because:

1. I don't have time
2. Although it's a good deal, it's not really worth the money for me, especially I only see it for 3 seconds when I open my door to get in or out about 3 days a week.

Hey, Sniper. Well, since you splained yourself, suppose I should too.

I have a set of mod plans that fit an annual budget, it's planned out year over year, and it's (mostly ) prioritized along performance mods. If that were it alone, I could easily fit $100 bit of bling into the mix, but I'm also paying on a car note, so that's part of the overall budget. Keeping to my plans has nothing to do with the wifey, and I certainly make enough to support whatever I want to do with the G. It's just a self-moderation thing, and I'm sticking to it.

Just like you, I teeter back and forth on the value calculation. And it's entirely possible that mid-year I'll do something impulsive if this is a regular supply. If not, I won't be losing any sleep over it.

In the mean time, I'm watching all you guys get your kicks with your kick plates, and I'm happy for you. I'm glad that this is legit, and it's all working out.

Hey Mystikal, I read your posts, and see that you hooked up the wires to the BCM. I installed mine today, but saw your install afterwards. I used a add-a-fuse and installed mine to the fuse box to the '10A room lamp' fuse. My kick plates work, but if you have door open and push the switch that thinks the door is closed, my kick plates remain on. I just wanted to confirm that the way you hooked it up (to the BCM), that the kick plates turn off when the door is closed.

If you install the way Mystikal outlined then the kick plates will shut off when you close the doors.

Thank you! Just re-wired today as per Mystikal (but ran white -> sky blue, and red -> red). I removed the courtesy light from the door, and there is a green and red wire going to it. I don't think it matters if you connect the red wire from the kick plates to the red or green, as door switch finishes the circuit. Works just the same and shuts off when door is closed. Thanks again for confirming this

It should be the same, I did notice that the new kick plates are a bit smaller than the oem, non lit ones

Um it should be the same as the wires I pointed out...It should come off once the light is on..maybe you applied it too the wrong wires? Because when I was doing some trouble shootin, trying to figure out which wires I had to use, I came across the same issue and found out the wires I needed too use was the same wires on the courtesy door lights..Light on--> door open, light off-->door closed
