Cracking noise from seat?

Hey guys,

I pulled up to work about 15 min ago, parked in the garage, got out of the seat and heard a loud cracking noise.

I usually get out of the car and lean on the side of the seat as that's the easiest way for me to get out. I'm 5'11 and 160lbs, so not a heavy guy at all.

I do have the seat set to move automatically back after car is off.

Does anyone know what this could have been? LOL am I exiting the car improperly?

Thanks,

Brad

Maybe something is jammed under the seat. Empty plastic water bottle usually makes a nice crushing sound.

Lol.

Check under your seat. Try moving it all the way forward and checking from the back seat, something could've been dropped under the seat somehow.

Try using the rear passenger door to exit. You won't have that problem.
