Anyone else having problem with there windows?

09' g37x coupe

Bought my car used about 1 month ago and it seems my windows are getting worse and worse.

Both driver and passenger side windows (esp. pass) have significant straight line scratches running down in multiple spots. Some are more severe than others.

Anyone else encountering this issue currently or in the past?

Wow. Not having this issue on my 08. That sucks. Are you still under warranty?

Wow! Is it something in the lining that makes this issue prevalent across all g37 models or just specific to the 09's?

I went to infiniti about this problem... he showed me the solution and it worked, atleast for me.

So just for the information, he told me that the window doesnt touch anything inside the door, just goes up and down, the only things it does touch is the rubber seal in which the window goes in. So what he did was closed the window, took his finger, and ran it through that rubber seal and so much dirt and gunk came out just from running his finger about 1 foot through the rubber seal. he told me to go clean it at home with microfiber cloth and throw that microfiber cloth out after because it will be useless. and i did this about 4 months ago and no lines yet. they all went away.

try this guys, if it doesnt work, go to the dealership if your car is under warranty

Thanks, I will try this today. I'm still under warranty, but I wonder if they would replace my windows...

Doubt it. Probably just normal wear and tear. If you ran a towel over the surface of a dry, dirty car, you would scratch the paint. Same thing here. The seal needs to be kept clean, especially if you live in an area that uses salt, cinder ash, sand, etc. on roads in the winter. Same thing with your wiper blades. If you don't wipe them off frequently, grime gathers on them, and your windshield will be scratched. When you clean your windshield at fillup, you should wipe the blades (and your headline plastic lenses) with a damp cloth or the sponge squeegee. Helps you see better as well.

Definitely just dirt inside. Microfiber towel seems like a great idea. If you have a vacuum that you can use to try to suck any extra dust out it could probably be a good idea too. Otherwise, I'm not sure about this, but consider the "air spray" they use to clean keyboards...?
