No you don't have to remove the bumper just remove a few screws from underneath the front cover and a plastic clip inside the wheel well. To remove or pull the light assembly there is a small screw holding it from inside the bumper. Like I said the left side is really easy takes a few a mins. just wanted to make sure that my wires are all tucked away nice and clean. The right side is bit of a challenge specially if you have big hands. You will need a size 8mm close end wrench to remove the assembly. Makes the installation of the bulb a lot easier. Everything is straight forward on the install just follow the connection guide and you should be done within an hour. I wish I took pics while I was doing the install but I didn't even think of it. I would have thought that someone here must have done the install even before I did and posted pics. GL on your install.
