It'll be cool if they blink like when you have your hazards on. Just like in formula 1 when its raining hard. I bet it'll get more people's attention.

eBay. Some years back, I was buying all kinds of bulbs for the previous car, experimenting with a variety of styles, colors, etc. I had a bunch of amber LED's left over, so I tossed them in. Turns out I like it, particularly against moonlight white. OAN, next week, I'm having the lower bumper area vinyl wrapped in dark gray.

The back-up bulbs are a stalk of SMD's each. I've a friend in Canada who does automotive lighting, and he kindly swapped these bulbs for me the last time I saw him. White LED's in the trunk, too. And the courtesy lights on the front doors.

On topic, though... Is the back-up bulb in your new lens something standard that you could swap LED into it? Or would you have to wire something up? Or not interested... there is no wrong answer, LOL.

I could wire a module up to it, but that would be obnoxious haha.

It's a 7440 bulb in the back so I can easily swap in a LED.

so this would fit a 07-09 rear sport bumper without a diffuser flush?

Nice look Apex, you're always willing to think outside the box (so the rest of us don't have to, lol). Looks like it's pretty functional too, especially if you have lots of morning fog. Keep those unique mods coming, you've truly made your G your own and it's all good!

It CAN fit if you cut into the bumper. I have the diffuser on, so it's less of a hassle to cut into. Plus i MIGHT be upgrading to a 6MT 37 sedan later this year.

Thank you kind sir . It seems like mornings in Atlanta (or where I live) is generally foggy in the morning, so it seems. It also keeps tailgaters off my *** too.

I'd like it a little better if it had its own on / off switch.

Isn't it supposed to be wired that way?

The factory installed one in my Volvo had a dedicated on / off switch...

The Euro ones do have a dedicated switch. I prefer it always on to ward off tailgaters. To each their own though.

Its obnoxious to leave it on. Porsche drivers turn theirs on here, Il respond with high beams left on!!

The rule in Europe is, if you can see the light in fog you're getting too close, if you can see the tail lights you are now too close.

When I was a young driver (30 years ago), we used to wire an on/off switch into our brake lights. Flipping the switch for the brake light, while simultaneously slamming the throttle, had a wonderful effect on tailgaters.

5% tint and auto dimming mirrors work wonders for high beams

Yeah, but it's such a hassle to wire a dedicated on / off switch, and you save time and $'s by just skippin' it! (although it could be left on all the time if so desired...)

obnoxious does not equal dangerous to other drivers however.
