Finally got around to installing mine.

 

very nice dtrain. i just got mine delivered on saturday. what did you do to your headlights? any intentions of painting the chrome strips where the fog lights are located?

 

^^^thanks...i painted the headlights myself. Matte black housing with semi black shroud and replace lens with tsx-r lens. Im thinking about buying the black rings instead of painting.

 

BIG NEWS GUYS. I just went to orderinfinitiparts.com and the price for KH3 bumper have gone up from 283 to 1500 THEY FINALLY CAUGHT ON. Dont believe me go to there site right now. I just ordered mine last week and got it at 283. I hope that when i open it there are no chips and scrapes. .

 

Look like a few color codes are still at $283 but the rest are $1495. Seems like they are getting replenishment stock with a new price sku. Ouch!

 

yea its crazy. it would still be cheaper to order one in the wrong color and then have it painted KH3.....at least i think it would be cheaper.

Yes sir that is correct. I heard they were actually losing money for those bumpers but who knows. No way in hell will I be buying a bumper that is 1500. F**K that. Time to go after market from JP directly.

As someone said, why wouldn't someone just buy it in a different color then paint it to match? I think it's a little silly for them to raise the prices on the most popular colors and leave the others alone. Seems they're just trying to make more money. $1500 is REALLY rediculous though. There's so much better stuff out there for that price.

So they say it was a pricing error but really guys??? How you get mixed up with 1600 vs 400?????

Plus buying it at 1600 is like 200% profit for them hence why I say they are the stealership.

 

$1500.00, but thats always been the price of a painted bumper from Infiniti.

When I needed to replace my rear bumper, due to damage, the "unpainted" bumper was $300, the body shop charged over $500 to paint it, and it wasnt as good as factory paint.

Now look at the front IPL bumper, it comes perfectly painted with foglight hardware, and a lower grille. $283 was a mistake, that was a price for an unpainted bumper cover without hardware.
The other theory, is that Infiniti underestimated the amount of IPL models they would sell and build. Those bumpers took up too much real estate space, and they were blowing them out to make room. Bringing back the price of OB, and MW colors back up in response to supply and demand.
Have you noticed most requests were for KH3??

That being said, I bought 2 of them early on. Maybe I can get $1000.00 for my spare KH3 IPL bumper.DOMO
