IPL/Aerodynamic Bumper Swap Idea.

*****UPDATED AS OF OCTOBER 30 2011*****

Here is the deal, they are offering the Aerodynamic bumper for 2011 which comes painted along with lower grilles for 283.00 +150 shipping. You still need to buy a pigtail, washer fluid tank for 2011 models, and the oem fog lights to complete the swap. You can also try and get the inserts that go on the 2010 Aerodynamic bumper which do not incorporate fog lights, therefore you would not need the pigtail, washer tank, and fog lights. The colors for the bumper come in all colors that were offered in 2010. So if your color was not offered you have the option of buying the bumper and having it painted. The 2010 Aero bumper is basically the same thing as the 2011 Aero bumper except the 2011 comes with fog lights. Although the the 2010 Aero bumper costs 1500+. The IPL bumper is the exact same thing as the 2011 Aero bumper but only comes in the two IPL colors and also costs 1500+. Therefore this deal is a steal!!! It is either a mistake or something has changed, but these prices have been going up and down ever since I made this thread. You can order through orderinfinitiparts.com or call Brad who is great help. Many people should hop on this deal while it lasts. Any questions please ask here. Part numbers may vary due to color codes.

You know I'm all for that idea ! But I'm not looking for that look anymore. Someone do it i researched this and it's pretty much a garuanteed success ! The look is what u basically want for a lot less then the $55,000 price tag i just saw on an IPL lol i basically would only take the kit and add my own suspension mods like sways strut bar and coils like i have done! For perf ive added already tanabe full exhaust w Intakes and my own wheels etc. I say this I's great for someone wanting that look on a much better car I's worth it for that price. Thats cheap and it's 100% oem fitment an comes painte w Infiniti Scratch shield paint. When i look at the IPL all i would want is newer headlights and the kit and the fogs and engine cover lol maby i should've done it but it started looking a little square vs the stock sleek body. Anyway like PJ said, great for someone looking for a diff look .

The aerodynamic kit looks sooooo much better in my opinion... :P

It's the same thing - the fogs and chrome housings on aero. I was looking into Aero front but at 1500 from local dealer was steap! Lol that was w out grills too! I would have been looking at 1700 for the swap and just front bumper, i say IPL bumper would be best to repaint and add the Aero grills . keenly IPL grills and add Fogs .

I was being sarcastic.

+1 someone should try it out.

There is no way the IPL bumper is just $238...that's probably just a part of it.

P Casey 05-08-2011 09:13 PM

no its 283.00 plus 150.00 shipping @ orderinfinitiparts.com already confirmed it.

Same reason I said why I dont think the 11+ non-sport fogs and vents would fit the 08-10 sport bumper is the reason I dont think that this would work. Aero probably has a complete cut out behind the faux vent, while the IPL has a recessed hole to secure the fog in place.

I see what your saying. So are you sayingwhen you would be trying to put the fogs on?? Or just in general? Would you think the aero faux vents could be secured in the IPL bumper(no fogs included)

ONEighty 05-08-2011 09:40 PM

I dont think the vents would be a direct swap, you'd need to figure out a way to secure them in place. Unless the bumper has the recessed cup where the fog slides into (the fog is installed from the outside of the bumper, not from the back), you'll need to find a way to secure the foglight to the bumper support with brackets.

P Casey 05-08-2011 09:49 PM

Well the IPL bumper has fogs, so I am assuming they will have a place for the fogs to go into....the main concern is getting the aerodynamic bumpers lower vents(the vents without holes) and having them fit where the IPL's lower vents( the vents with holes) go. When I was looking the vents are the exact same shape.

DPE G 05-08-2011 09:53 PM

I'll be a test dummy if you can get me the part numbers. I have been contemplating it but without a picture and part diagram i don't want to get it wrong lol and haven't had time to look further into it, I'm looking to do the full IPL swap with all the grills, fogs etc.

ONEighty 05-08-2011 09:54 PM

But isn't the objective here is to get the Aero bumper because it comes in more colors, why would someone get the IPL bumper and the aero grilles?
