Holly crap that was the toughest part indeed, specially the driver side, I had to run the wire through the whole on top of the speaker and make a whole in that tube to make it come out we had to make a whole.

the hard part was to redirected the wire into the car so what he did was to remove one of the plastic screw next to the fuse box and run the wire through there and it work, after that we had to connect the wires but it wasn't the same color as mentioned on page 4 of this thread.

Is the JDM kit the one posted on the first post where the mirrors were $300 for each? mirror? I wanted to get them too but also couldn't justify the shipping cost especially when those were only $50 for shipping minus the $15 that ebay gave after their site was hack. Let me know I may be interested to get them too if that's OK with you

After everything was put back together, the mechanics friend wants me to look for some mirrors for his car and my neighbor who drive the Maxima with those already installed on his car love the change to the infiniti and said I think you're the only one in Ottawa driving an g37 with those light, make me feel good.

The JDM kit is NOT the one mentioned on page 4. The JDM kit is for the 370GT and only consists of the two (2) LED lamp assemblies and the wiring harnesses which get installed on the mirror covers (therefore cutting involved). I prefer the look of the OEM assemblies- much cleaner and refined- than the Korean knockoffs:

Attachment 108144

The kit part number is Nissan B6165-1NF00 and will run about $325USD. It is the shipping that's the nightmare. In the end I'll probably bite the bullet.

You can find a link to the service manual here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...for-sedan.html

You want to look in BCS.pdf.
For mine (2013 Sedan):
Page BCS-50: shows the diagram.
Page BCS-52: pin 17=Front RH Turn Signal, pin 18=Front LH Turn signal.

(I haven't done this mod, just looked to see what wires it would tap into.)

Attachment 105765

I don't care about color as the covers would have to be repainted to match my color code.

This is offered as a factory upgrade on the JDM Skyline Coupe from Nissan and I can't find the right part numbers anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Would this be a plug and play in terms of the mirror base? I would love to have this!

Whether you buy the OEM kit from Japan like I'm trying to do or get the ones off eBay, there is nothing plug-and-play about the install. There will be some wiring involved. Wires will have to be run from the BCM (or wherever you tap into) through the door harness and up through to the mirror. Even with the OEM kit, and I have the power fold mirrors from a 2012 'vert (which are standard on JDM Coupes if I recall), the wires to run the LED's just aren't there. It is a fairly straight forward project but, sadly, not as plug-and-play as installing the power folds was.

Hope this helps!

The OEM ones definitely look good but not for the $450-$500. price tag.

I've put this project on hold as I'm thinking of going in a different direction with my mirrors.

What do you have in mind?

Basically I want my mirrors to do everything: fold, side LED winker, camera, and blind spot warning. I already have the power fold and if I recall correctly the Q50 has the blind spot warning system and/or the other features I'm looking for. Making it happen is going to take time, patience (which I don't have) and resources.

I want to see what standard/optional features will be available on the upcoming redesigned Q60 for both the JDM and USDM versions. Once I get a better understanding of what will be available then I will be able to make it happen for my G.

It just irks me when I see Altimas and, choke, Corollas with the technology. Time will tell.

Anyone tried ordering the JDM kit from Amazon.co.jp? It's less expensive than eBay but their shipping rates are ridiculous. You can get it shipped via http://www.tenso.com for a lot less though (about $12 USD if I'm looking at the right shipping option).

Link to Amazon: Amazon.co.jp | NISSAN(????)??????????? ????? B6165-1NF01 | ???????? ??

I think B6165-1NF01 is the correct part -- B6165-1NF00 as mentioned earlier is for the version with the side camera unless my info is wrong.

I'd give it a shot but I don't have a G yet. Currently driving an Altima Coupe 3.5 SR and I agree it's ridiculous you guys don't get these standard when the Altima does. I might trade in my car for a used G depending on how long the Q60 redesign is going to take and whether I like it once it's revealed in Detroit. This is probably one of the first mods I'd do since I hate the thought of losing something my current car has.

My only concern would be how easy it is to repair if any of the LEDs die. Both of my AC's mirror LEDs have lost a bulb over the 3 years I've owned it and one of them malfunctioned completely (got it fixed under warranty though). Would suck to spend this much money again to get a new pair if it's as unreliable as the Nissan version.
