Need help with my hids

Hey guys I just got some d2s 10k bulbs for my g37 coupe headlight and they don't look anything like hid lights. If I don't tell anyone they would never expect it to be hid. From far away they look a little blue but nothing from the 8k I have on my pickup truck. They look more like the new range rover lights. Has anyone ever experienced this. Maybe a bad bulb set?

First, pics would help. A lot.

Where did you get them from? What is wrong with them other than they're not blue enough? If that is the only thing, then there is nothing wrong at all. Different companies differ slightly on their color temp, so some 8000K might be just barely blue while others are super blue. Just depends on the company.

But pics and a better explanation are a must

Hahaha yeah read my first post. Those are definitely HID. Where did you get thrum from? Either they sent you 6000K accidentally or they are just very liberal 8000K bulbs, but they are definitely HID

Oh I completely misread your first post...I saw 8000K and mistook it for the G's lights. Yeah those DEFINITELY aren't 10000K. They probably just sent you 6000k by mistake

But I'd take that as a gift, because driving with 10000K will be nasty IMO. they'll be so blueish/purple that it'll just look gross. But that's just me. 6000K is perfect for the G

ya i got them from some cheap ricer shop, i wanted some 8k but he said all he had was 10k so i got em for 40$. the packaging said they were 10k too, but everyone i ask says they look more like 6k. In the camera they look alright but in person its not that bright. I think im going to get 8k for the headlights and convert the fogs to 8k. i like the blue contrast with the black car

when you go up in color temp, you're going to loose some light output. the bluer you go, the less light, compared to stock 4300k.
