I have a 2009 g37xs and I'm interested intalling 2010 foglights.Does the 2010 fog lights fits in the front lower bumper of 2009 g37 xs (sport). Anybody tried this before?

 

Those factory lights are pretty big in overall size. The only way they fit is if you are willing to delete the wiper washer tank on the pass side. I was going to go that way but decided that light looks more the lux style, while I wanted a more sporty style... here's what I did using a smaller ( 2 1/2 dia ) piaa aftermarket light..

 

Here is a before... phase one. The current set up is simpler/cleaner, who knows, might tweek it again!

also did you have to replace the windshield washer tank with a smaller one?

 

Injen make a smaller winshield washer reservoir for when you install their CAI. The red one.

 

like others have said, you will need a new washer reservoir and have to rewire the fog lights since your switch is set to turn on the ones in the headlights

 

What is the approximate available space between the back of the faux grille and washer fluid reservoir. I am considering installing the Hella Leday Flex drl's. I don't want to reduce the capacity of the washer fluid reservoir. During long drives in winter with slush and snow, I can easily go through the entire reservoir capacity.

 

I'd say no more then 2 inches, I did a lot of research and the piaa's 2 1/2 inch dia. were the only round type light that works in there. I 've since changed to the injen tank becuase I went with that CAI. To answer the other question about the other opening, it's a air vent for my injen filters..
Your other options that don't require much space are the led strip style lights GL...
