Door panel scratch, is it fixable?

My wife decided it might be a good idea to run her wedding ring across the door panel of my G. The result isn't pretty. Am I looking at a door panel replacement for this? Anyone have any ideas?

Ouch, that sucks!

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and suggest gently rubbing in a small amount of shoe polish on a towel...

I may try that. I coated the hell out of it with Zaino and that helped a little, but its still there. I can see it out of the corner of my eye, it sucks!

looks minor, like you need to keep rubbing it out with a gentle leather product, just like a minor paint scratch can take a few passes to dis appear. If that fails ,just call a vinyl repair guy to come out. They use heat gun and air brush techniques to totally remove or repair the area. Ck those guys out reasonable too, a scratch that size probably run 50 bucks to fix, good luck...

These guys have given good advice. I'd try a combination of leather moisterizers and shoe polish. These will help but may take some time. The summer heat will help as well which you shouldn't have a problem with in TX. Give it a few weeks but reapply conditioners and shoe polish every few days. I've seen things like this pretty much dissappear, but it kind depends on how deep it is.

if she is wondering if it's a real dimond, she needs to drag it on the glass not the door panel.

Haha nice...I'm going to mention that to her next time we are in the car.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I am going to let the summer heat and a bottle of Zaino try to take care of it, and if that doesn't work I'll call in a pro (didn't even know they existed).

Kiwi show polish doesn't really match the scratch, unfortunately.

I got a small scratch on my door panel over the weekend and the black shoe polish is a little darker.
