How much to paint?

What should I expect to spend to get my rear bumper repainted?

And how close should it match with blue slate?

thanks

$500-$700 and it shouldn't be hard to match.

Someone rear ended me last summer. It cost their insurance $750-ish after it was all said and done (new bumper cover, paint, and labor). They matched the Blue Slate quite nicely actually (I was really worried since it's a fairly unique color).

Sorry, I thought this was a place I could get a general idea before talking to a body shop. I figured a few people on here would have needed their bumper painted...

I am a general hard ass. But there is some truth in my scarasm.

Paint shop prices vary from shop to shop a great deal and also from area to area. DC is actually one of the most expensive places for paint work, whereas New Mexico is one of the cheapest. Exact same jobs could have a 300-500 dollar difference.

Really the best solution is multiple quotes. Visit atleast 3-5 reputable (reviews of most shops can be found with easy google search) shops in your area and ask for quotes. You can also call your dealer and ask if they use and perfered shops. Since you are in NJ, it would be best to look the G35NYC forum. I am sure there are several threads related to local quality shops.

There is alot of vairables that people on here cannot answer and need to be addressed by a professional. Like the level of correction that needs to be done. The location of the problem may require other parts of the car to be painted and blended in.
