driver window doesnt inch down when door opens

So,
I finally got my g37, and I noticed my driver side window doesnt move down a tiny bit when I open the door (and come back up when I close it). Instead, it stays the same height.

Anyone know what could be causing this, and/or how to fix it?
thanks

Start your car. Push and hold the window buttons down...let them roll all the way down and keep them pressed down for 15 seconds. Now push the button to allow them to come up all the way and continue to hold the buttons up for another 15 seconds. That should do it, next time you might wanna search the forum before making a new post because some members are on here love to flame people for not searching....

Out of curiosity, does the window actually hit anything?

I would think it may brush against the insulation strips, but not to the point where you couldn't shut the door. Can someone confirm?

^^^ what he said. Exactly what you need to do. Otherwise if that doesn't work, take it to Infiniti.... *and this is exactly what it says to do in the manual if the reset doesn't work*

That happened on my G35 coupe. There was actually something wrong with the actuator.

Manual states to lower driver window, then raise window until it closes, continuing to hold button up for "3 seconds". Repeat for passenger side. I don't know where you guys are getting the 15 seconds instruction

Does not touch anything. I know since I had to unhook the battery for winter storage. In the spring you cant open the car without the key insert in the fob. With the battery disconnected and zero power, the door opened without the window drop. Did not touch anything.

Apparently this feature is to "seat the window properly for a better seal." If you think about it, sliding the glass plane up the rubber strip would generate a better seal than slaming the glass against it. So I dont consider this a gimmick... yet.

yes I think that is the problem. I noticed the interior lights dont respond to the driver door (the one giving me the problems), and only respond to the passenger one.
