Debadged question/lease end inspection
Uh-oh, I'm picking up my 08g37 early next week and my 07g35 that is being turned in I debadged a while back. Am I gonna get dinged for this on the lease-end inspection??
I lost some of the letters too

I know. I was making light of the situation. But in reality, I was commenting on the question of why anyone would debadge a leased car without considering they’re going to have to do something to bring it back to stock.

Perhaps a fellow debadger here has saved their letters and can send them to the OP.
Having restored some classic cars in the past, and participating in judging events where being stock is a must, I’ve encouraged those who must debadge to at least save the removed items for you never know if let's say fifty years from now they may be needed.
I remember years ago when I restored a 1951 Pontiac, I searched for three years for a front grill medallion that was missing when I bought the car. I finally found one at an auto swap meet, and ended up winning a prize at a CHVA (Contemporary Historical Vehicle Association) event.

In this case, don't take delivery of your new vehicle until your inspection is complete. I believe they'll give you less of hassle with minor damages and excessive miles since you're picking up a new auto from them.
depends on the inspector, they might miss it. I dont think it is something that is easily overlooked, I would fix it yourself before you take it in. It will definatley cost you less money that way if they do catch it.
