Why does this matter that he did it for free? I'd pay him the $40/hr he charges and then hit him up for the cost of to fix the panel. How good of a friend is it lol I wouldn't just let it you're not going to happy when you find out it's $300+ to fix.

Mine does it too... Weird... I wonder if the bumper popping out on the OP's car is unrelated to the work done. I did not notice the bumper on my car until a friend pointed it out.

Yea that part of the bumper is just flimsy and kinda lose. I don't like the way its designed. Looks like it was cracked because they tightened that screw too much, you have to be very gentle with that one. I broke the plastic piece (easily replaceable) on the inside where the screw goes and not the bumper thankfully because my drill was set on high power.

If you are able to lift it up with your finger, either that plastic piece is not clipped it in right or the screw is lose (maybe because they broke the other side so didn't want to risk tightening this one too much) and so the plastic pins popped out that are held in place by a tight screw.

But yea, sucks... there isn't much you can do to fix that crack because if you just bondo it and paint it, when you tighten the screw, the crack will come right back. I would just try to maybe touch it up so you don't see the white, and wait for some after market bumpers? or a good deal on a stock one, maybe already painted.

true, but i feel like he went out of his way to help me... like he did me a favor because he did it free of charge, that's why i can't really complain about it... i mean sure if i paid for it, then he'd definitely be 100% responsible, but i just feel bad for going to him now and saying, oh look you cracked my bumper, you have to fix it, even though he installed it for free... get what i mean?

my dealership actually had to replace my front fender too.. because they drilled for front license plates when i told them not to. and jus before i left for my vacation, i noticed the same problem as in your first picture.. they didnt put it on correctly.

i'm sure you could just have your friends dad take it off and put it on more carefully the second time, not sure about the crack though.

sorry bro.

so someone told me that i have to replace the bumper... because since it's cracked at the connecting point of the hood... it won't be that great to repair it, because it won't be the same, the connecting points will be weaker if it's repaired... any opinions?
