i dont think people are understanding him. he is not talking about his neck he is saying where the buckle clips in down by your waist. I dont really have any issue with the height in that area. I do hate the upper portion design...

5'7 and it bothers my neck too. any solutions?

Same problem. 5'7. I'm down to seeing if I can get one of my wifes barrets and clip it to the belt so I can add in a little slack. I know that takes away some of the safety benefits, but it's really a pain. What's surprising is it's a Japanese design, and there are more 5'7 Japanese men then there are 6'3 ones.
