removing splash guards?

Has anyone removed their splash guards? How difficult was it? Did it leave any visible marks?

My dealer says there are no Athens Blue/ Sport/ Journey's without the splash guards in the midwest. There's supposed to be one with my exact options in KC but it has the guards.

I've done some on-line research and it appears they should be easy enought to remove. Getting the glue off will be the difficult part but it sounds doable.

Personally, I don't like the way they look and for $44K sticker I think I should get what I want.

Thanks for the help!

Interesting...... I am getting mine next weekend and will be putting them on because i like the look. I understand you have to drill holes for the install but i think that is just in the inner fender. So should be easy to remove. And ya man we spend that kind of coin we petter be getting exactly what we want and think looks good. I would make the dealer remove them before you take posession of the car. Then if it is F^%KED up they are on the hook not you.

Ordered mine last year without them. I don't like 'em either.

I took mine off. The dealer scratched both fronts pretty bad when it was coming off the transport truck, so they paid for the clear bra up in this area. Just several screws and not hard to do.

Its just screws and 3m double side tape. Goo Gone will take it right off.

I like it better with the splash guards. They are nice and subtle.
