Window weather strip/ seal

I recently got a tint job and needless to say I will have to take them back for them to redo all of them because they were not careful enough to watch out for the tint.

One thing I really noticed is the weather strip that prevents the water going into door is not pressed up against the window. There are even spots where the weather stripping doesn't even touch the glass. I can press on the seal to touch the glass. But I looked at our other car and the weather strip is firmly pressed up against the glass and I don't even need to press it for it to touch the glass.

My question is mine the only one like this or are all g37 the same?

I don't have my camera with me any more. I'll take one with my phone and upload.

These photos do not do any justice. I won't be able to get my camera back until next week or so.

Yeah, I have that same problem, but If you look at your window strip, does it touch the glass. Because mine touches on some parts and does not touch on other parts of the window.

Ya it definatly touches the whole way down. Was it like this before the tint job? If not blame it on them and make them fix it

I wish I could go check for you right now to be 100%. I am over seas working right now. But i detailed my car about 2 weeks ago just before i left and I am 99% sure i would have noticed this when i was conditioning my seals. But lets hope you can get some better pics and that some one else here can confirm 100% for you. Or if you are close to the dealer go check out one on the lot. Hope it all works out for you and let us know all the details.

make sure it's pushed all the way onto the door.. if your tint is good to go, roll the window down then see if you can push it on

The dealer is about 3 hours away from me, and as far as I know I am the only one with a G37 in town. This is a moderate size town with about 60,000 people. Yeah me and my brother just detail the car from washing, claying, swirl removing, sealing, waxing, and new sealing. My brother is all into that stuff and I have to say I will pay him good money for him to do this stuff again, however he said this stuff should last about 6months to a year.
