i've run them for a good while now both with and without fogs on at times.

i haven't had a problem with them at all. the city area seems pretty well disconnected from the main HID, which must help reduce the amount of heat the LEDs see.

I changed out my parking lights (city lights) today to some Polarg white bulbs (non-LED)

Here are some before and after pics:

Parking lights BEFORE

Parking lights AFTER

New bulb matches the HID headlamps really NICE

VLEDs are not PIAA's.

Changing the fogs/city lights is simple. Take out both intakes and you'll have access to them...Although a real PITA cause there's not much room to work with. Just turn and unplug the old bulb and replace with the new ones. The H1 fogs have a hooking mechanism that is unlatched. After you put in the new bulbs, just put everything back. You won't need to go thru the wheel well unless you're doing the HIDs/turn signal/side marker lights.

vleds have their own site store on ebay. the big difference between them and the other led makers is that they offer an inverted v shaped bulb that spreads the light into the foglight housing. the last set i had in my g35 lasted over 18 months (sold the car, so i don't know if they are still working). they are extremely cheap to purchase at $1.99 a set and imo, perform just as well as any of the more expensive sets. i am sure that there have been heat induced failures in these leds among those on the board that have used them, but at $1.99, it's not that big of a deal.

i also changed the fogs from stock to sylvania silverstars...those on the otherhand were damn expensive $29.99 a set. they are much closer to white (4k) than the yellow stocks and put out better light.

are you saying that you changed the projector hid bulb?

edit: if you are, i completely disagree with you. the stock headlight projector color is near perfect white in my opinion. anything much above 5k starts looking blueish and you actually lose light illumination on the road.
