Hey everyone, just joined although I've been reading through posts for the past month.
I picked up a 2010 G Convertible, 65000 miles, Bose but no nav for about $13k.
Like everyone else, I'm disappointed at the omission of bluetooth audio streaming.
I've read nearly all the posts about the Tesla style screen, and am close to taking that route. However, I was wondering if anyone has seen/installed this unit?
Its essentially going to act the same as the Tesla style, just built out a little differently, and I like the look of it.
If anyone has it, is the silver bezel plastic or brushed metal like the other parts of my interior?
There is a few threads about these screens, but I have one and painted the bezel. It works pretty well, no complaints. Make sure you get with the built in dsp (mine doesn’t have it). My audio quality took a small hit as the internal dac sucks *** (the one with dsp has digital out). I painted all my trim so I didn’t have to find a match to the brushed aluminum. I just used rustoleum soft iron (great color). Here is pick.
